Dinner Friday Night.

Rock Climbing.

Got an amazing deal on an used guitar at this guitar shop. It's all the way in Carlsbad, but it is worth the drive.

Besides this being a really good weekend, a lot of stuff has been happening in the past couple weeks. Finals are approaching which is always fun......(slight sarcasm). and also I have found out that I will be traveling with a solid group of guys and gals from point loma all summer. We will be going around and leading worship at jr/sr high camps for a total of 10 weeks. We have started training and getting to know each other in the group and I'm already stoked about what the summer will hold. I will make sure and fill ya'll in on the details as they come!
Until next time. Stay Classy.
Grace and Peace.

Hey, I'm a prospective freshman for fall 2009. How rigorous are the academics at PLNU? I've taken pretty much all honors classes and taken the AP route through high school, but I didn't notice an honors system at PLNU. What's your take on it?
hey!
Yeah about how rigorous the academics are at PLNU, I think there are a couple answers to that question. I think it is pretty safe to say that no matter what major you choose, the classes are usually more rigorous than high school courses. I also took ap/honors courses and found freshmen year at Loma to be much more demanding in getting the grades I wanted. But it really is different for everyone.
For me right now I am taking Cell Biology (with Lab), General Chemistry 2 (with Lab), Calculus 2, Old Testament, and Medical Sociology. So a great deal of my time is spend in labs that usually wouldn't be required in other majors. And that's my next point, your first/second semester course load has somewhat to do with what major you choose.
All this being said I feel it is more challenging than high school AP/Honors classes, but despite it being harder the classes are much more rewarding and enjoyable.
I hope this helps answer you question. Let me know if you have any other questions at all, or if I didn't answer you question completely.
grace and peace.
